CHIANTI
Chianti
is a term used for wines produced around the Chianti Province of Italy which is
located in the center of Tuscany. Chianti
is produced in seven distinct sub zones, that cover a vast territory of
central Tuscany. It is a hilly area with altitudes varying between
250 and 600 meters. (820-1968') The climate is continental
without excessive temperature changes. The soil is mainly composed
of sandstone and limestone. Chianti embraces typologies of wine
which are very different among themselves. Chianti is made using
four different types of grapes: two red varieties,
Sangiovese (70-90%) and Canaiolo (5-10%), and two white varities,
Malvasia and Trebbiano (2-5%). Since Chianti was elevated to be a
DOCG in 1984, its production has sharply diminished and its quality has
markedly improved.
The
CHIANTI DOCG produced by TRAMBUSTI is an intense ruby red, harmonic dry,
well-balanced wine made of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo, and 5% Malvasia
grapes. It has a dry, velvety and rounded taste. This wine
can be served with grilled meats, roasts, pastas, baked dishes and
hearty cheeses. This wine should be served at room
temperature. To really appreciate this wine, allow it to breathe
before serving.

In order to use the word RISERVA
to describe CHIANTI, a winemaker must age and process their Chianti in a
certain way that is regulated by the regional government of
Tuscany. This is the only way to earn the title "Riserva".

harmonic dry, iris and violet bouquet, well-balanced wine made of mostly
Sangiovese and a small percentage of Caniolo grapes. It has a dry,
velvety and rounded taste. Serve with grilled meats, roasts,
pastas, baked dishes and hearty cheeses. This wine should be
served at room temperature. To really appreciate this wine, allow
it to breathe before serving. |
